probably no more evil than any other large corp. I am a retired associate of Wal*Mart and worked there for 15 yr. The benefits were very good and my association with the company was a pleasant one. Health Insurance and 401K and Stock given by the Co.and my option to purchase stock and profit sharing allowed me to retire and be satisfied with all the compensation I had received. Yes the company has changed since Sam died, however as business grows and is so successful it never remains the same, nothing does.

Wall Mart. Great entrepreneur killer in America, taking away from the small town family business owner and "creating" a wealth of minimum wage jobs.

Sam Walton is surely turning in his grave from what became of his corporation.

To answer, yes, it is evil.

Wal-Mart isn't what Sam Walton wanted it to be.. 60% of their goods are made in China. 'America's Choice' brand is a joke.... His daughters have turned Wal-Mart from a company that cares about it's employees and the USA into a greedy whore of a corporation that only cares about itself. I don't blame a company for wanting to make money, but it was founded on certain principles, and they have been totally forgotten. Shame on the Walton daughters for forgetting what their father wanted for his company.

Yes. Yes. Yes. WalMart is a monster!

We think we are getting a good deal at WalMart, but we save in cash is lost in human integrity. WalMart has most of their stuff made in China. The problems are:

Outsourcing the work so there are less jobs for Americans.

Treating their American workers like slaves

Actually using Chinese companies who use SLAVE LABOR to keep the prices down.
