Depends on what you mean as 'threat'?

Economically... yes. China currently has the fastest growing economy in the world.

Military force... yes but as long as we remain an ally we are not in danger.

A threat to other countries? What does that mean? Millitary? Economically? Socially? If that is what you are asking, then yes, China is a valid superpower that has awoken from the slumber of communism.

The key is not to see them as a "threat" but a partner in the future.

Yes in the future China will be a big threat to everyone. China eventually will even challenge the U.S as the sole superpower of the world.

China is a giant, and they have a lot of our money!

Let sleeping giants lay! Attack North Korea and I can guarantee China will intervene, just like they did in Korea!

They are not Iraqi military, they don't cut and run!!

We don't need a nuclear war as that would be our only defense against them!

China has been called the "sleeping tiger" for decades now. Are you just now realizing that China will rule the world shortly, somewhat like the U.S. does now?! It has been happening for a very long time...and will culminate. EVERY MONTH, Asian banks purchase $40 Million in U.S. T-Bills in order to keep the U.S. "out of the red." If they stopped for one month, imagine what would happen. And if they continued to stop, we are screwed.

Yes. I totally panicked when i flipped to an article about how the US has a brain-drain crisis. China's building all sorts of state-of the art University's, while NASA might face a retirement crisis. GAH people...stop being stupid!

China is already a threat. China already has changed the way we live and the blue collar segment of our population works.

i think china could be a very real threat. the amount of research in medical problems such as stem cells could be the beginning of major power coming from that part of the world.

Yes they will be a threat but I wouldn't worry about it now.

Keep on buying foreign products and keep compaining about your governement. After you start speaking Chinese you can say that others warned you but you decided to ignore it.
