his two bottom teeth are in, but instead of the two top ones right in the front coming in, the next one over is coming in. it's swollen all through that area and i can see the tooth coming in, but it looks like he may have two coming in at once, the one that's supposed to come in, and the next one over, that's not supposed to come in until both front teeth have come in. any input?

they come in a different times, my son had his 2 bottom teeth come in first at 5 months and over the next 15 months he has had all but the last 4 back molars come in, he has all 4 canine teeth coming in right now.

Don't be worried, Gabe's teeth didn't come in the exact order the baby teeth charts said they would either. If the swelling doesn't go down I would talk to the dr though, in the mean time if it is really bothering him, give him a cool teething ring to knaw on and baby tylenol if he really needs it.

teeth have no particular order, my son got his first tooth at 5 mo. old. he now has 8 teeth, 4 on the bottom, 2 on top, plus two more molars, he's 10 months old now. one thing to watch out for are ear infections, when teeth come in fast it can cause ear aches, i always know when a new tooth is coming in, he starts pulling on his ears, good luck

It's fine my 6 year old looked like a jack-o-lantern when hers came in!! She was 10 months before she cut in her first tooth 11 months before she cut in anymore and they where scattered around in her mouth like she had a top and a bottom and then she had a I think it was a top tooth next to where the front one should be and so on.... The funny thing about the way she looked is she was born 5 min before Halloween.

There is no correct order for teeth to appear, my daughter didnt get any teeth untill she was 11 months and my son is 14 months and only has 6 teeth. they may end up getting all those ones they "missed" all at once in a few weeks or even months. dont worry at all about the order or the time frame. they will get their teeth eventually and in the meantime there gums are as hard as teeth so they can effectivly "gum" anything they want to eat lol. i wouldnt stress at all, but if you think your little one is having trouble with his teeth or u are still worried just talk to ur health nurse or even ur family doctor. but remember all babies develop at different rates and teeth can appear in any order! good luck

My pediatrician never said there was any particular order to teeth. My second baby has molars coming in around four months and nurse said was a million to one baby... guess that means every 1 in 1 million grows molars first...

She's fine now with teeth popping all over the place... :)~ ha ha.

There is not an absolute order. There is an acceptable range of time when teeth come in. Your baby sounds like he is within that range. Do as much as you can to make your baby comfortable with the teething.

I didn't realize there was a specific order every child was expected to follow. If you're really worried about it, take him to a doctor. Otherwise, as long as not in an abnormal amount of pain, he should be fine. The baby teeth are gonna fall out, anyway.

Your child will be fine...that being said if most of his teeth come is and his 2 front teeth are still not in take him to the dentist. They can see if those two teeth have "teeth buds".

There is a lot of variability in when and in what order babies teeth come in. Nothing to worry about.
Put some teethers in the fridge. He sounds like they're coming in fast.

There is no "right or wrong" order just the usual order. My oldest got his two top teeth first let me tell you it was a suprise for this nursing mom. If you ore concerned ask your dr. at his next check up.
