UFO basically mean Unidentified Flying Object. This is a Man made word. UFO Back in days when wierd objects were seen flying in the air people thought that they was aliens but dumb aint it. It could've been a type of a plane or a thing that was man made and it was probably something of a shape that we neva would've seen b4 so yea if its creators were testing it in an populated enviorment. People would've noticed it in a majority. and would've reported it.

UFO means Unidentified Flying Object. In a book of mine it is written that UFOs were seen in the 1940s but I don't know how far it is true.It has not been seen any time recently.

UFO stands for unidentified flying object.
Once you know what something is, and have identified it, even if its a flying saucer full of Martians, then it is no longer unidentified and is not a UFO.
So, if its a UFO, nobody knows what it is, and so your question can't really be answered.

Unidentified flying objects could be anything in the sky that is unrecognizable, so technically there seen all the time... UFOs don't necessarily have to be alien spaceships.

they are aliens from a different planet but ufo just means you saw something in the sky but could tell what is was and they are seen all over the world i saw one in 1996

Uniformed Female Officer. I saw one the other day when I was arrested for public Intoxication at a Chucky Cheese birthday party. I was fined $50 and was re-arrested when I tried to pay the fine with a roll of Chucky Cheese Coupons.

It stands, of course, for "Unidentified Flying Objects" and I have not heard of any "purported" sightings in a long time. I do not believe in them anyway
