OK, I'm going to Italy for a year to study and I want to be fashionable. I have read that Italians are very fashion forward and most put alot of time and money into looking good. Well, I don't have either, so any advice? Oh, I also heard that the women wear alot of heels....however, that is not an option for me considering I'm 5'11" :(

heels are good, tall is good. Strap on the spikes and the Signors will LOVE you.

If yer not too up on fashion, go for plain, simple clothes ( and claim that "I am naturally beautiful, I dont need clothes to make me") OR go for the vintage look (hit the local thrift shop and think 1920's. retro-glam always works.)

Voting for heels here too. Have a look at some Gianmarco Lorenzi on Ebay. You may find some good deals who will start your collection and you will be ready for your trip.

Beaded flats are always cute. Go buy a Vogue and look for similiar stuff in the clearance racks.
Ohh, tailored, feminine suits are always a good look for the tall.

Italians wear a lot of black and leather. To them it's considered sheek. You don't have to wear heels wear flats.
