What do you mean by "By the way, I'm a white guy, so you can curb the racist comments directed at me, right wingers"? That comment makes no sense.

I think that it is acceptable to be racist against white people. Unfortunately it is mainstream.

It definately still exists, but we are evolving. I have seen much improvement in my years of observation and living. I live on an indian reservation ( I am white) and a degree of racism is directed at me. I also spend a lot of time in Hawaii and experience racism there (aimed at me). In my younger years I experienced a kind of racism because of my "hippie" lifestyle. Over all I think it truly is getting better and once terrorism is mostly wiped out we will not be so fearful of the Arabics.

Racism is never acceptable. Unfortunately, the word is so over-used, and so many people want to define every behavior as racism, that its meaning is almost meaningless because people's own prejudices affect their view of a situation.

What we need to do is eliminate certain words from social and political discourse, so that meaningful discussion can take place. Racism is one of those words.

Yes, a lot more...just because people from back in the day; their racism is rubbing off on us. My grandparents are pretty racist, not like KKK or anything but bad enough, I just choose to not be that way, for my own good.

true. but you can't blame other races for not liking white people. they have enslaved many races int the past, but if you mean races from the middle east you can say that they are racist not because of their skin color but they hate others because their religion tells them so. Arabs aren't racist, many muslims are though. there is a fine line between race and religion.
we cannot criticize people because of what happen in the past. many Arabs are innocent. and many of them are with the people that cause the many scars of this country.
Just because someone else did something bad does not mean they all are!!!!!

No, actually but I would love to say yes, I think racism still exist in our Country and will till we all die unfortunately. I think it is more hidden today and people know just how far to go before actually getting in trouble. Exapmle - No one today would put a sign to say no blacks allowed in front of bus but if you rented business space you could not rent to blacks, thats racism and it happens all the time. SAD SAD THING, RACISM.

I don't think it's becoming mroe acceptable, but I don't think that means it has disappeared either. The internet is proof of that. When people are given an opportunity to speak without fear of being seen as racist by their immediate community, then they say alot more racist things.

Lets see...thinking racists are always right wingers...shows how much you've studied the issue. And a sign of a closed mind that believes whatever left wing media tells them to think.
Arabs want to kill us...Mexicans want to take over illegally...what part of these facts are racist?

Racism only fuels more wars...

Who are the victims? Everyone. Nobody really wins. If racism becomes acceptable in the U.S. then it is digging it's own grave.
