A mans game? Is that so? I know it is difficult picturing women cheering on a team during the Super Bowl and things but its not totally impossible. Nothing about the game? Are you kidding me? I play football! It might have to do with sexist remarks like this.

I am a female and I have been watching football since the late 70's. My father introduced it to me and said there was no reason why women couldn't be fans of the sports (he's also the same guy who taught me to tear down and rebuild a car engine because he thought women should know mechanics too). I have been a fan of my team for over 25 years, I know the rules and I can usually give you the reason why a ref is throwing a flag before a guy can.
Oh, and before you say women like me aren't the type guys want.. well my husband loves the fact that I love sports and is willing to sit with him and watch it or go to the games with him. Being that it is now the 21st century is it really fair to generalize like you have done with your question?

How ignorant you are! without women fans half the supporters would disappear and where would be the fun in that? Also as a woman I KNOW THE OFFSIDE RULE do you?. I enjoy the game and just because I am female does not alter that. If you think it is a mans game then wake up, here in Doncaster we have champion women footballers who have won the fa cup for women, and the top men in the game have praised them so get a life and get your facts right.

It isn't that women care about the game, it's that they care about their man and want to be in his company. If that means watching a game or going to the match then so be it. My hubby doesn't like sports of any kind so I don't have to worry about that, but I have my faked interests too. Best wishes

How old are you, you have a really old fashioned idea about todays modern women. Why cant we enjoy football, I have been a life long football fan. You will be saying next why do women want to go in pubs, and why do women want to learn to drive. Wake up mate the world is changing why don't you.

Who says we want to get involved with the game, we just want to watch the 22 men from the two teams, run around in a pair of shorts so we can take a look at those sexy legs that they all seem to own.
But....how would you answer it if the question was slightly changed asking "why would men want to get involved with topless dancers at strip clubs etc....they cant dance, they would look stupid trying to dance around a pole or in front of some beefy bloke...truth being, you know nothing about topless dancing!?

Well...ask Victoria Beckham that - she was at the England v Ecuador match - LOL.
I can't play it for toffee, but I love to watch football being played - for the skill, and...*cough* some footballers are sexy...
Perhaps the equivalent of the Gladiatorial tournaments held thousands of years ago. Did women take part - sometimes. Did they watch them? Most likely!

....And you just succeeded in starting an argument. For one, It is not only a man's sport. I happen to love the sport and know a whole lot about it considering that I played when I was in school. It may be considered a man's sport because women can not play in college or in the pro's..!yet! But you can bet you egotistical butt that one day we will!

Women are unusual in that they often just want to spend time with a man. They'll sometimes take the trouble to learn about some idiotic "sport" just so they can try and relate to us. I've never understood this, since my wife's interests aren't mine as well, and I could care less about some feminine something-or-other.
