First, I'm really sorry for what you're going through. It sounds like you might be in need of an HRT formulation to replace some of the hormones. Joint/muscle pains, etc. can come about from estrogen depletion, even when it is still produced in small amounts in our adipose tissue. It may take several different attempts/dosages/formulations to find the right one for you. Also, calcium is important post-hyst. and if necessary, get tested (DEXA scan) for bone mineral density levels and take Rx meds as needed if it shows there is a problem. You can also get a second opinion from your gen. practitioner to determine if other diagnostic function tests should be run to r/o other concerns and conditions. I feel your pain and frustration; hysterectomy is not as easy as the general public seems to think it is and people really need to be disabused of that notion. If your current docs won't listen - find some that will. Help is out there. Hang in there and feel better.

I had a hysterectomy 10 months ago. I am fortunate, I had no complications, except for the 1st week after, I had to go back for exessive bleeding. But I have tubes & ovaries. Just had a partial vaginal. Everything is cool... Good Luck

1. Go back to the GYN ASAP.
2. If he is not able to help. ask to see all your records and xrays.
3. Get a copy of all your medical records and take your erays with you.
4. Get a second opinion first from another GYN not in the same group of doctors
5. and then a MD specializing in internal medicine.
Good luck I hope this helps you.

That sounds like fibromyalga and has nothing to do with a hysterectomy. But you need to go see a doctor for a diagnosis and treatment.
