I've heard of things like putting toothpaste on your pimple before you go to bed and other things like that, but are there any other things that work instead of buying really expensive products? thanks.

Believe it or not the very best thing for pimples is keeping your face washed and clean. Use a non-detergent based soap. One with no perfumes or additives and oil free. Ph balanced is also good. Something like neutrogena.

Always, I mean Always use a toner afterwards to bring your skin back to a natural balance. It can't be something harsh or you will start the process of dry/tight/oily/pimple/scabs - all over again.

Best home toner - Witch Hazel!

Once a week, make a little paste of baking soda and water and put it on all the pimple encrusted areas. Leave on for 2 - 4 minutes. Rinse with cool water. Then apply your toner. It naturally deincrusts the pimples.

MOST IMPORTANT!!!! Don't Pick!

You can use a non-oily, water-based moisturizer like Physician's Formula on your skin, once a day.

Watch all your makeup. Make sure it is non-comedogenic.
Drink lots of water and always wash a sweaty face. Good Luck!

I can tell you what Elvis Presley did and he swore by it...he said that if you put your first mornings urine on a washcloths and patted your face with it, you would never get any pimples. Whether its true I dont know. The best thing to do is to wash your face daily with a mild cleanser and exfoliate. Try Cetaphyl, Clean and Clear, or Noxema...they have lots of good products. I loved The Nutrogena Glow exfoliating pads...I cant remember what they are really called. Facial Glow..or soemthing. They really make your skin look great. And use a mosturizer like Oil of Olay. AND A SUNSCREEN.

Washing your face regularly.
Avoid greasy foods and soda's.
Working up a sweat (but make sure you wipe the sweat off)
The thing I always found to work great is regular sun exposure on your face, just don't stay out to long or you'll get sun burnt. But then again the sun burn causes skin to peel and that's one way to get a cheap skin exfoliate. lol.

and the tooth paste stuff works too, but make sure its paste and not the gel stuff.
