We have a decent mix of old blood and young blood just warming up. We've got a chance at the pennant again, more likely in a year or two, though. But yep, BOSTON IS BACK!

um well lets see... are they? they've gone 13-7 in june which is pretty good but is it really THAT good? i mean the A's have gone 16-5 which i would have to say is better, and come the end of the season when the red sux lose the division to the blue jays (sorry i made a mistake), the wild-card to the chisox, and the A's win their division and then the world series who will be SO good then. Or are we talking about all-time, where the red sox have won 6 world series (although only 1 in the past 80 years). and the A's have won 9, oh my the A's win again.

I think Boston will overtake Detroit for a better record but the White Sox will have the best record after the season is over and the Yankees will miss the playoffs

They are not good!! They are GREAT!! Defensively they are the best in the majors. Their lineup is powerful and loaded with 300 hitters, all feared in the clutch. Finally, their pitching staff is excellent with Schilling and Beckett leading the way. Their bullpen with Jonathan Papelbon is just abut the best in the majors!! Now, a good defense, timely hitting, good pitching, and a strong bullpen lead to success. That is why the Red Sox will be World Series champions in 2006!!

Go Sox!!

Because of our steady offense consiting of a good lead off hitter in Youk, the one two punch of Ortiz and Ramirez, and steadyness at the end of the lineup with Lowell. Also our defense is phenomnal this year leading the leauge in fielding percentage thanks to our solid infield lead by defensive whiz Alex Gonzalez. Also V-Tek is one of the best catchers in the league(even though he was of to a slow offensive start). Our starting rotation has been in a bit of trouble but our prospects have been filling in well with the absence of Wells and Clement. Schilling and Beckett are pitching well and Wakefield is consitant like he always is. And then there is Papelbon who is lights out. Leads league in saves and has only given up 1 run all year! So thats why Boston is so good. Hopefully we can keep it up and win the division

Why are they so good because they are the most clutch team in baseball and are in first place. And baseballfan227, **** the hell up buddy, becaus eif anyone is, its the A-rod cuz he was on the Rangers when Rafael Palmeiro was with them, and what did he do? Take steroids. And had 200 hits in his rookie season, steroids, theres only one Ichiro, 35 Hrs in rookie season, steroids, only one Albert Pujols. And plus, Big Papi and Manny Ramirez are the best 3-4 punchout the MLB has to offer.
