I think the answer can be really simple. If the flag is burnt because of the country it represents (in this case, America) then it definitely wouldn't be OK to Americans. It's the reason behind the action and what it represents.

There is currently no law expressly prohibiting the burning of the American flag, wherever it was made, so it is legal. Whether or not it is "Okay" as you put it, is another matter. I'm certain you'll get many responses here indicating people's views. My view (since you asked): No, it is NOT okay. Here's why:
On One Hand...
Bans on flag-burning are clear violations of the free exercise of speech, a fundamental right in our democracy. Using the Constitution to promote patriotic sentiments would be a cynical abuse of legislative power.
On the Other Hand...
The flag deserves special legal protection because it is the ultimate symbol of our history and heritage. The U.S. flag is an important symbol of democracy. Allowing Americans to burn it insults the millions of citizens who have fought and died to protect our way of life. Using flag-burning as protest is not a legitimate form of expression because it doesn't invite any sort of debate.
Here is a very good article on the subject:

If you mean burning to protest something, the answer is no! You never burn the American flag as a form of protest. It doesn't matter where the flag is manufactured. It is still the symbol for this country.

An American flag represents America no matter where it was made. If you respect our flag/country, you don't burn it.

That's a very interesting question. Some flags are made in China, and this illustrates capitalism perfectly - go for the cheapest cost in order to make a buck.
The good 'ole USA is too cheap to make it's own flags. What's that say about people who fly them? They support China and U.S.? Communism and Democracy? Oxymoron? In a capitalist world your dollar is just like a vote.
Can't have the best of both worlds....Good question

Burn it in protest or burn it up and have a weenie roast if it makes you happy.
It's what it means to you not where it's made that makes the flag significant.
The flag of the United States of America has been bought and paid for many times over with the blood of those who have pledged their allegiance to it so you can do just that.

I'll answer your question with a question.
Is it alright to slap and degrade the dead soldiers that fought and died for you to have the right to ask that stupid *** question?
You should be slapped for even thinking about burning the flag. If you are unhappy with America you can use your right to leave.
And why would you purchase a flag made in china anyways. You can find them made right here in the USA.

The short (and for once only) answer is no. It is an American flag, and by law cannot be burned.

Yes, it is still legal to burn the American flag regardless of where it was made. It might not be the best thing to do with your free time but if that's what makes you happy, we haven't outlawed it yet.
