Install the Yahoo! tool bar, it has the Pop-up blocker. I use and it is quite effective in keeping the pop-ups at bay.

You have a spyware problem. Normally, you would not get that.

Go to http://www.download.com

use the SEARCH BOX and look for SPYBOT

Scroll past the sponsor ads and download the free version of SpyBot Search & Destroy

Run that after downloading to install it. Then run Spybot to protect and clean your computer. This should take about 20 minutes the first time.

Then go back to Download.com and get Ad-aware.

Run that after downloading to install it. Then run Ad-aware to clean up your computer. This should take about 10 minutes or so.

When you keep your computer clean of spyware, you should not get any popup ads.

IF you do, you should try Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. Simply go to http://www.mozilla.com and download FireFox for FREE. Run that to install it, then use Firefox for almost everything. Some websites won't display or work properly with FireFox, so if it is something that you really need, then open Internet Explorer and go to that website.

SpywareBlaster is the best program I've found. It prevents malware from downloading. It is free for personal and educational use.

It can be configured for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Netscape.

It really works. Once you configure it, it doesn't have to be running in the background. I run Ad Aware it once in a while, but since I've been using Spywareblaster, Ad Aware finds nothing.

I suggest using Firefox browser also.

Pay $19.99 a year for a Plus account or find an ad blocker add-on. Adblock Plus in Firefox works great. ℬ ℋ
