It depends. If you are an american athlete for the Olympic Games and wants to bring golden medals to US, doesn't seem to be considered illegal, or if you want to look like the best baseball player in US, you wont have any problems. You are allowed to used it and encouraged to go on TVs and Sport's magazine's and tell to the whole world with a very big smile on your face, that you have used during all your life...otherwise, how someone can expected to be the number one or be between them, only by practicing?
Most countries considered the use of steroids illegal in sports, because has dangerous health effect's and because it promotes a physical performance, Superior of normal for humans, it seems like cheating .

Are you serious? Why would you even think about it. High protien diet and wieght lifting is perfectly legal, and very affective.

Thye should be. I think athletes should be able to reach their max potential. Sure thiers health hazards but everything in high doses is dangerouse even water. Its up to player to decide wut he wants to put in hes body. This is jsut more government control. A form of communism.

Anabolic steroids are illegal.
Medical steroids are legal.
But even if you use medical steroids, someone's going to make a big deal about it and screw you over.

anabolic steroids aka. performance enhancing steroids are as legal as marijuana in the U.S.. There are however other steroids that are used for medical purposes.
