Understand that becaoming a professional actor is alot of hard work. When I say Actor know that I am referring to both men and women, that is how it is in professional acting circles. I am sure that if you were to talk to true actors like Ian McKellen, Patrick Stuart and the like (notice that I didn't include Lindsey Lohan and the like), they would tell you that it is alot of hard. The dream of being discovered out of the blue and being as famous as todays stars is rare.
The first thing is to go to school to learn how to act, high school or college depending on how old you are. Try to make sure that it is accredited, NAST is one of the accrediting bodies. Make sure that you study alot of plays, TV Shows, movies. Most of todays projects are just spin-offs of the old.
What also you should do is move to where the action is. Once you get the education move to where the stuff happens. Another thing is to not expect the first part you play to be Oscar Nominated material. You may have to play several small parts before an even noticable one comes across.
Another tip is to get an agent. Do not look in the classifieds of your local paper for one. Look on sag.org or if you think you have found one, check with SAG to see if they are reputable. Beware of scammers.
In closing you are looking to get into a very difficult career. Being an actor is very hard. There may be months where you don't get any work. Do not get your hopes up of being discovered as soon as you step off the plane, but still work hard

Most colleges offer a Drama or Theatre department, usually through the Faculty of Fine Arts. So keep studying and keep your high school grades up, so you can get into a good college. In the meantime, you need to audition for school and community theatre projects so that you'll have some experience to put on your resume when you audition for films and look for an agent.

Nowhere. Famous is a by-product not an ability you can acquire (and not as much fun as it looks from the outside).

Unfortunately, the school doesn't make the star. Talent does. Pick any good school, but study hard, work hard, dedicate yourself, and you too might grace the silver screen.
