Because he was extremely high on drugs at the time. And no I do not think it tastes good.

He was drunk at the time. The bat fell to the stage floor as the lights came on the way bats always cling to the nearest object when they see light so they can cover their eyes with their wings. Ozzy thought one of his fans through a rubber bat on the stage so he picked it up and bit the head off not knowing it was real until after he bit into it. He had to have rabies shots for it after.

Ozzy likes to put on a good show when he's on stage. He doesn't care what anybody thinks of his antics as long as he's having fun. I don't think he likes to follow the crowd. He likes making his shows big and unforgetable. Personally I don't think the bat would taste very good. I think he's COOL!

Because he wanted to shock people and he is so messed up from doing drugs he has very poor judgment. I'm sure it does not taste good. It probably tastes like fur and blood and could give you all kinds of nasty diseases. Gross!

Ozzy Osbourne said that he didn't realize, at the time, that the bat was real. He thought it was fake....until he bit into it.

he didnt do it on purpose.
it was at a show in san antonio tx. a bat flew into his mouth. he thought it was a prop and bit down.
he had to undergo rabies shots

He was on drugs isn't it obvious? I mean look at him you can tell he's all whacked out on drugs, listen to him. And did you know that the reason that he has so many wet concerts is because he pees himself, so they soak him down so no one can tell he's peeing on himself.
