I think we all learn things from our experiences. That's the wisdom that comes with age. When a soul is old, they have much of that wisdom even when they're young. You can tell when you talk to them. If they're aware of who they are, their place in the world- they have a calmness, a centeredness about themselves- it's a look in their eyes, an all-knowing look.
Anyway, that's what I believe. I believe a really old soul will have all those qualities when they're a child. I'm striving to get there, and feel I'm close- but I'm over 50 now. I guess that's at a pretty normal pace- making me what a mediumly aged soul? I do think there are some who never get there in this lifetime, that makes them young souls. They're superficial and shallow people- right up until the day they die.
Anyway, I believe we come back to finish what we didn't in this life. I'll be back a few more times, I'm sure. Some people will be back a lot more times then that.

Old Souls come back when there is a need for them and one way to tell if someone is an Old Soul is to listen to them talk. Ever heard a child say something there is no way they could have known that. My son does it all the time tells me about how wars were waged in ancient times or how and why animals do the things they do, which would sound pretty normal given what you can pick up from TV but we dont watch TV in my home (not even rabbit ears for the news) and hes six years old. He can hold adult conversations with just about anyone and they are valid. There are a few books out that are just awesome on the subject and one of the is about Indigo Children. Find a metaphysical store in your area and ask as to what kind of reading would best be suited to you. Myself I am an Old Soul I have been back to the realm four times and have only recently figured it out. I can tell you things about how to die wool and work a loom how to weave fine silks or about old Asian herbal remedies and none of that is my interest in this time. I have also been hypnotized and been able to speak of wonder of creation and how it was to see it take shape. Then I took the tapes to a second and third person who does not deal in this area at all and was able to confirm that there were no suggestions planted for me to work off of.

It is hard to tell actually unless you know what to look for. It is usually seen in the eyes of the person. If you know how to look for it you can see the wisdom that is "beyond their years". I myself am an old soul. I have been told by three different people in three different states that have never met each other. My soul pre-dates Lamuria and I have been a resident there. I am also a Star child. Also knowledge of things without haveing been there or studied it and it to be correct, is another way as well.

OMG I have been told this!!!!! I dont know how people know, maybe its something you give off to "sensitive people" but I have been told this isnt my first time on earth and though I have an old soul, my soul is fairly new to this planet which really surprised me becuase I know they has to be life on other planets becuase this universe is too big for us to be alone, but for ME to have been there....it astounded me! Maybe if someone is very wise or spiritual you think they are an old soul? I dont know how you can tell though....

we are all a part of That Which Has Always Been ( God) -
then how can any part of That Which Has Always Been - be older than other parts???
there is no such thing as an elder soul. ( or younger)

Eyes, lines in the palm, ways of speaking that seem 'out of time,' sensitive intuition and their usually born with a caul.
