or shower, or do anything that gets my hands wet, i always feel the intense need to put lotion on. cause i HATE the feeling of dry skin on my fingers. is anyone else like this?

Hi. I'm the same, l haven't always been like this but the older l've got the more dry my hands are becoming. It's worse if l use soap and hand gel wash without moisturizers in it. The cheap gel soap at work makes my hands very dry. Some people aren't affected by soap but others like us are. The skin on my hands feel dry every time l wash them with soap, It's awful if l'm out and about and l haven't got any cream with me!. It's normal, people wouldn't put up with a dry face and that is usually moisturized twice a day and the skin on your hands and the rest of you body is no different.

Not me...I do get paranoid when I wash the dishes though....like I'm scared to have my hands end up all nastey and wrinkley looking like some older people I know [and even some of my friends] like, I dunno, i'm too lazy to put on lotion, so I just wear gloves when washing the dishes... I never have an intense need to put lotion on, but I always feel the intense need to wash my hands [I'm also germ paranoid] maybe your dry paranoid haha

i use to wash my hands all the time when i was about 13-14...not just b4 i eat or after i use the bathroom but if i touched anything n thought it would have germs on it i constantly washed my hands...i over did it and my hands became soo dry they started to crack and bleed..i think i had ocd or something

Yes, there are people like that, including me. It is not hurting a thing. When you get older you will have nice soft young looking hands.

yes, I am sometimes, but my little brother gets it real bad. he can only touch smoothe objecrts. Its really funny
