I absolutely HAVE to work. I'm on assistance in Oh but they give me barely enough to live. I've applied at so many different places and no one will hire me. I'm considering a temp service. Anyone have any ideas?

Try looking into retail, apply at a maternity shop or other womans clothing store. You could also look into working at a children's clothing store, if you have a "Once Upon a Child" store near you that would be ideal.

Congrats.

Doubt that anyone will hire you .. you can try a temp service but most of there jobs are alot of labor work and may hurt you or the baby . Try a day care get a job there it is a job w/ income and I'm sure they would give you a chance Nanny's are pretty nice . Stuff envelopes ?

Im 27 weeks too!!! I just got my job 2 weeks ago at a call center, thats your best bet, temp agencys allways have openings at call centers, that was my last job also. You get to sit down all day and be on the phone and computer under ac or heat. trust me being on your feet all day is going to really hurt. CALL CENTER CALL CENTER or even data entry, you just enter stuff in the computer all day, those jobs are also thru temps and you start off at $12 or more, WAY MORE

Try a temp job. Being 27 weeks pregnant should not affect your hiring status... if it does that is discrimination. You may also try applying with your local job service..... WalMart is usually hiring and I hear their benefits are good.

I don't have any new ideas that people haven't already suggested. I just wanted to encourage you to keep looking. I was hired (I'm a teacher) when I was 31 weeks pregnant. I started working, and managed to work 2 weeks, and then had my baby prematurely (not due to my working, please don't let that scare you). There are people out there who are looking for just the right person, and when they find you, they won't let you go. Good luck!

A temp service is going to be your best bet...it'll be hard to get hired on anywhere else since they know you'll have to leave soon!

try the temp service ...it will be best and if you like the job afterwards maybe the company would hold you a job after the birth

How about a telemarketing position? This way you don't even have to leave the comfort of your own home.

If, however, you would like to leave the house, why not sell Avon, or something of this nature?

CONGRATULATIONS on your coming child.

Have a lovely rest of the evening.

I don't have any specific ideas, but I just want to give you some encouragement. Alot of people consider a pregnant woman jobseeking as a real go getter...so go get it :-)

good luck!
