Take the ball out of the mouse and clean it. You need to look inside it and clean the areas where the mouse touches that activates the mouse to move. There are 3 sections inside the mouse that build up dust quickly. I end up cleaning my mouse at least once a month, so a 7 month buildup can really affect how the mouse functions.

Also, go to Control Panel from your Start Menu and click on the MOUSE icon. You might want to change the sensitivity on the mouse.

If it is a laser or optical mouse and you are using it on something other than a clean mouse pad, clean it or use something uderneath of it. Any pattern such as a tablecloth or something can cause it to stray.
If it is a ball mouse or track ball, try cleaning the mouses balls. (Ooops. Didnt sound right).
Take the ball out of the bottom of the mouse and wipe it with a lint free cloth with some rubbing alcohol and Qtip the little wheels inside. That should help.

If it is a wireless mouse, then there may be some interference.

i am guessing from your screen name, that it is the grass that is making your cursor move.
