By disaster, do you mean Katrina? If so, then not in the least. You remember Homestead, Fl being wiped off the map just a few years ago? The massive flooding all up & down the Mississippi river - that one was a much larger disaster than New Orleans by the way. Katrina was a big deal, and the Govt response was not at its best between state/fed levels that aren't experienced in dealing with these storms like we are in Florida & Texas, but it wasn't the worst disaster in American history by far, just over politicized.
If you mean a disaster as a President, maybe because of your view of the war, then I don't think so either. The war is a complicated thing that looks painful in the short-term, but 20 years from now looking back at what we've done & where the world has gone because of it we'll know it was the right thing to do. A lot of people are trying to make cheap political points by attacking the President personally, & by turning a war we're winning on the the ground into one the public thinks we're losing in the media.
I don't care if you like the guy or not, but he's been very unfairly judged & very disrespectfully treated. I didn't like Clinton very much either, but I always refered to him with respect at least for the office. History will sort things out eventually. The big thing I'd tell you though is that if you want to do the most good for the country & world while President you'll be the least popular person on earth.

he will be remembered as the president that perservered during his time as president. He faced a tremendous amount of hurdles from his own government and dealt with major political issues both abroad and at home. War is Iraq and Immigration just to name a few. He made major strides concerning authority of surveillance of the oublic to better protect the US from terrorist attacks as well. President Bush will be remembered well considering all the adversity he has had to face.

No, I think that "honor" belongs to Bill Clinton.
Hey Gothic, for your info Nixon was a very good president. His only mistake was listening to his back-stabbing advisors. He was the one who got us out of Viet Nam. Why don't you take a look at Jimmy Carter's presidency, what a joke that guy was!

I think he will be remembered as the worst president in US history. I dread the further damage he is capable of doing in the remainder of his term. If he bombs Iran, Russia and China will go against the US and we could all get nuked in World War III.....)(
