Just look at guys like Joey Harrington, Akili Smith, Ryan Leaf, Kyle Boller, Drew Bledsoe, Tommy Maddox, and Cade McNown !!! All of them are or were underachievers. With a PAC 10 QB its either all or nothing... Guy like John Elway, Troy Aikmen, and Carson Palmer were about the only ones that amounted to anything... and we are yet to see about Aaron Rogers... So what do you think Leinart will do????

I forgot to add Jake Plummer to the list of good PAC 10 QB's... he's doing good for himself...

If you ask me Leinart has maxed out his potenial and won't get any better than he is right now... maybe I'm wrong, but time will tell...

Jake started off in Arizona and did'nt have anywhere near as much talent that Leinart has out there... and hw still managed to go to the playoffs out there... so its not all about the talent around... although it does help, you still have to have the know how to have success in the league...

I don't know, I didn't really see a whole lot of greatness from him in college. Of course he had numbers, he also had Reggie Bush, Lendale White, Dwayne Jarrett, Steve Smith, and one of the best offensive lines in the country. He was in a good system.
He doesn't have that strong of an arm but he was pretty accurate. He is also questionable with his commitment. You heard about his involvement with Paris Hilton and he hangs out with celebrities all the time. Hey, so would I, but that's not really in the best interest of the Arizona Cardinals.
He could be good, he has some weapons in Arizona with the signing of Edgerrin James and some great wideouts, but that franchise hasn't had a history of winning, losing is contageous, and I expect it to continue.

Leinart goes to a system that has been wanting a "star QB" for many years now. Matt will be given every single possible chance to succeed, and I think he'll have a solid career. A lot of his success depends on the Cardinals' decision to upgrade the Offensive Line. Adding Edge at RB wasn't too shabby of a move either.

Leinart will be an above average QB, but not a perennial Pro Bowl Quarterback.....could be like a Jake Plummer or Chad Pennington, good but not great

Matt Leinart has a good skill set. He plays in an explosive offense with arizona. He has Kurt Warner, a QB with experience in juggernaut offenses, to be his mentor. How can he not succeed?

I agree with you to an extent. However, alot of those QB's went to sorry teams with no offenses.............The Cardinals are, in due time, going to have one of the most prolific offenses around. So I believe that he well be a lot like Eli Manning. He might get off to a slow start but after a year of experience he well succeed. I am a Raiders fan and I pissed off that they did not draft him.

OF THE CARDINALS!!!!

Agreed. I think ML is overrated as a QB. Looking back at what he did and for what conference, he'll be lucky to squeeze out 2 good seasons.

I think he has better odds that all of them with the Cardinals. I think he had an attitude adjustment when he fell in the draft this year. He has something to prove and he is a fighter that would want to rub it in to all those teams that passed up on him.

I think if he has a good offensive line, he will be ok, because he has zero mobility. He knows how to run a Pro-style offense, that will help him out a lot.
