Even if you never had a job you should put together a resume stating your education and experiences. You can also list your interests and any special training, languages or abilities. A resume is should tell a prospective employer why he should want to bring you in for an interview. Good luck!

Simply define "work" differently. For kids, going to school is the same as work, isn't it? Treat it as such.

What did you accomplish? What were your interests?

Don't forget to add in your extra curricular activities.

Fact is, many jobs won't demand a resume of you. However, if you're looking for something other than low-end service jobs (fast food, cleaning, retail) the resume will be a big asset.

Best, it provides a place for you to start keeping track of your achievements, references, etc., for the resume you'll need for your next job.

Good luck,
Rex

YES! You need to show them your contact information, academic qualifications, volunteer experience (GET SOME- it makes getting your first paying job 100 times easier), personal interests and references. There are lots of books out there about writing your first resume- get one from the library to find a format that works for you. Keep your resume simple and professional, with normal fonts (Times New Roman or Arial) on good white paper.

Everyone needs a resume.

Just about every employer requests a resume.

Take the time to write one and learn more about yourself: your skills, qualifications, & accomplishments.
