Someone gave me a handmade pine wood entertainment center- only prooblem is that is was covered with dark green latex paint. Most of it has peeled away clean, but there are spots where I can't get the pain off of, especially in the joints where the pieces were assembled.

Paint stripper. Do it outside. Wear heavy plastic gloves, it is very caustic and will burn skin! Apply as per directions with old brush. Remove with rags, dispose of rags safely, they are now caustic. Repeat if neccessary.
Wipe off all stripper, rinse with water completely. Neutralize with water made mildly acidic with a small amt of vinegar or lemon juice. Let dry. Finish as desired. Stripper at Ace, Lowes, Home Depot.

Peel away. This is a very strong paint removal product. I need more information to make a good analysis. What is the surface? Is it rough clapboard, shakes, shingles, furniture, etc.
