y do fat girls wear tight clothes?

Has anyone noticed the world (especially USA(sorry) has become Obese. Obesity is at epidemic portions and people keep on Super Size It! I just don't get it> Does anyone ????

personally, i'm young, 5'11 and anywhere from a size 14-18 and i'm fine with my body, for the most part. i have a large upper half so it balances things out. i don't think i even own a skanky miniskirt or a halter tops -- i have at the knee skirts and camisoles, mostly....i know what i can and can't get away with. but hey, what am i supposed to do in the summer? wear a long sleeve shirt and long pants? hell no! personally, i cringe when i see bigger women wear halters, miniskirts and stuff that exposes just about every inch of skin they have -- it just shouldn't be done.

but women who are bigger have issues with clothes. i struggle finding stuff in my size that is affordable and fits and doesn't look like something from grandma's closet, ESPECIALLY because of my height. any woman who is young and bigger will tell you that. so i've taken to wearing really classic clothing... camisoles, solid colors, jeans, etc., and finding cute, young jewelry and accessories to go with it. i sometimes wear tight jeans and i don't really give a damn if ya think my thighs are too big... i have a hard enough finding cute clothes so off with yr head!

and for the record, i'm 225, and i eat lots of vegetables, whole grains and fruits (i'm mostly vegetarian), and can't remember the last time i was in a mcd's.... i went for a two hour bike ride today and i get checked out a lot...to hell with "fat = lazy" stereotype -- not everyone likes skinny women.

Because, unfortunately, the more "fashionable" stuff out there has sizes that stop at about a 12/14. If you're an 18 or a 20, or even a 24 or larger, you're hosed. Most places (I mean companies that make clothing) seem to think that if you're bigger and want to be fashionable, that means you need to dress like you're 45 years old. No one who's 18-30 years old wants to dress like their mothers! It's not fair, but it's the way it is.

i think its hard for fat girls to understand how big they are. That the are embarrassed to go into a store and buy huge clothes, when they probably think they look just as good in ones that make them look like sluts. Skinny girls can wear tight clothes, but fat girls aren't supposed to, they don't want to miss out.

Honestly, my friends and I were at the club last night. If there is one place on the face of the earth to see people wear things they shouldn't it's in the club!! Just because they make it in your size..does not mean you need to leave the store with it. I'm sick and tired of seeing over weight women in mini skirts, halter tops, back less shirts/dresses, tight tank tops, and worst Spandex! It's doesn't look good, and it's not sexy! My best friend is a beautiful big girl (size 22 women's) and she ALWAYS looks good in her clothes. The reason..she buys clothes that are fashionable and that compliment her body. When we go out, she gets plenty of compliments on her appearance. She would agree with this post !

I think you may be looking at it the wrong way. Women wear tight clothes. The clothes sold to us are tight. Fat girls only have so many options.

There not wearing clothes intended to be tight, it's just that they're so fat they create the impression they're wearing tight clothes. It's just an optical illusion. Just rub your eyes a little until every things blurry and it will all come clear.

Probably the same reason thin girls wear tight clothes. They probably feel comfortable enough with their bodies to not care what anyone else thinks about them. I always inwardly cheer when I see a big woman who has enough confidence to accept herself. Besides, for every fat girl who wears tight clothes, there are probably three guys who find her attractive.

They wear tight clothes in the first place because loose or large clothing makes them look even bigger...problem is some don't know how small to go.

because we tend to were the smallest size we can fit in to so we can say im not that big im just a size .... but also going for a more fitted rather then baggy makes gurls look slimer even if they are a bit big but some gurls dont no when to stop and get it too "fitted" i cant talk for all women but i no when i was alot bigger this is why i did it.
