What were we supposed to do, deploy a military we had all but dismantled.
Hell, we didn't leave Georgie boy enough spare parts to fix a flat and he took all the blame (another slick move, don't you think?)

Well for one, while I liked Clinton a lot, I do agree with you that Janet Reno went way way way too far by letting those federal agents go into Waco. I watched that entire thing on tv and OMG it upset the hell out of me.
As far as him being spineless towards muslims, that is just not correct. It is public fact that his administration made sure the muslims responsible for the first world trade center bombing were convicted of that crime.

The Clinton administration went after a cult leader who was raping children. Your relating David Koresh with Christianity is a horrid insult to Christians, and I am not one.
When and where did Muslims murder 3000 Americans during his administration?

Tough? They waited longer to invade the compound at Waco then the Bush Administration took to defeat Saddams organized army's....I'd say they we're not harsh at all...they we're typically pacivist. (sp)
The issue at Waco was that the organization there was abusing children; hardly a good Christian value. Those at Waco made a mockery of the Christian faith just as al queda does the Islamic faith.

David Koresh was a cowardly child abuser who committed suicide and got his child hostages killed in the process. The right wing hate mongers used Waco to inspire right wing terrorist types to bomb a government building in Oklahoma City. Are you going to start sticking up for your buddy Tim McVeigh, too?
Clinton brought to justice those who were responsible for the first WTC attack. His vigilance prevented further attacks. Bush having been warned about AlQuaeda did nothing. He still hasn't prosecuted anyone but a deranged wannabe.

It wasn't the Clinton administration, the FBI jumped the gun and made a terrible mistake, now still it is not clear what happened that day, but of course the general attorney took the responsability for what happened and the blame spilled to the president

The Branch Davidians (not Christians- that Koresh freak thought he was the Savior) needed to be dealt with, no doubt. If they were in there singing hymns and not molesting children, why were they stockpiling weapons?
Maybe Janet Reno should have been put in charge of dealing with the terrorists, too. At least she had guts.

The nuts at waco were directly connected to the terrorist attack in OKC. They were mad at the Feds because they thought they had to much power so they had Timothy McVay and Terry Nichols build a bomb and bomb the Federal building in Oklahoma City it killed 168 people. The worst terrorist attack in the U.S. until 9/11.

Well he did attack Iraq.
There were no U.S. or British combat casualties or aircraft losses--an exceptional achievement, in Zinni's view. "Even in peacetime, exercises of this scale can be dangerous and can be very, very trying; to do this without any casualties in the environment our forces faced was truly remarkable," Zinni said at a 21 December Pentagon press briefing.
More than 300 U.S. and British war-planes, spearheaded by U.S. Navy and Marine Corps squadrons operating at night from the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Enterprise during initial missions on 16 December, flew over 650 strike and strike-support sorties against approximately 100 Iraqi military and military-related targets. Ten ships of the U.S. Fifth Fleet launched more than 325 Tomahawk cruise missiles, bolstered with an additional punch from more than 90 cruise missiles launched from U.S. Air Force B-52 bombers. Thousands of U.S. ground troops, augmented by hundreds of special operations forces, also were deployed to protect Kuwait or to carry out other unspecified missions.
"The forces participating in Operation Desert Fox clearly demonstrated their skill, their professionalism, and their dedication," Shelton said. "It was one team and one fight," he added.
And I agree, Waco was Wacko! Janet Reno gave most of those stupid orders!

Whoa! The "administration" made the right choice...Basically close the fanatics in & give them no food or supplies and time to think about the idiot that was trying to get them killed...The problem started when the fanatical leadership caused them to fire on the forces trying to save them from themselves...I watched the whole thing unfold & knew they were doomed to kill themselves & try to place blame on others...It's called "Suicide by Cop"...They got what they wanted except one small piece, "marterdom"...Ask yourself if you think they went to heaven...

Except for the children then, eh? A nutcase locks himself into a compound with lots of weaponry and children and we should just leave him be. Not hurting anyone...yet.
