Iraqi plan that would grant amnesty to insurgents responsible for the deaths of U.S. troops.

"For heaven's sake, we liberated that country," Levin said on "Fox News Sunday." "We got rid of a horrific dictator. We've paid a tremendous price. More than 2,500 Americans have given up their lives. The idea that they should even consider talking about amnesty for people who have killed people who liberated their country is unconscionable."

Are the Republicans ok with Iraqi terrorist getting amnesty for killing our troops?
I ask Republicans...because after all...
Its THEIR war....

I"m not a Republican, but I can tell you that they won't be pleased. Basically, this just goes to show you that the three or four years we've been in Iraq have done exactly what the Dems thought it would...establish a new government opposed to American interference in that government while also increasing anti-American sentiment across the globe. This amnesty for those who kill Americans will be a big kick in the **** for the Republican Party.

As a Republican I'm ok with some getting amnesty; and its their decision as a country not ours. Those who cut off the heads of civilians and others need to be punished; but those who merely supported the insurgents (some under serious threat) do need to be granted amnesty to get them forward.

In the last 45 days we've nailed close to a 1000 insurgents \ terrorist. If an amnesty plan brings another 1000 out of the closet and gets them into the main stream we're probably half way done with the problem.

Most analyst believe the insurgency was down to 3 to 4k combatants and supporters.

no you are wrong , its everyones war,the demacrates should have done their job and not have left such a mess for the republicans to clean up , plus congress voted to go to this war demacrates and republicians and if the demacrates were in power the usa would problely be fighting with who they are fighting now, iraqi ,on home soil , how would you like that. At least Bush it trying to take care of the problem , Clinton all he thought about was were to put his cigar.
