buy pesticides at your local plant store. Or spray your plant with pepper. Crush some pepper or use ground pepper and mix it with warm water in a spray can. Then spray it on your plants to discourage the insects from eating your plants. Black Pepper and hot peppers make work.

More than likely, it is not grasshoppers. Slugs are known for eating away at hostas. Try using powdered red pepper. You can buy it cheap at the dollar stores. After you water your hostas, sprinkle some on the leaves, lightly. Also on the ground around the plant. This will keep other critters away too!

Use seven dust or some other type of pesticide . You can find it at any Home depot or home improvement warehouse

not much, even using poison, new hopper arrive faster than they die from the poison, sorry and good luck
