How much money do they generate in tourist dollars??? Do you remember Princess Diana's funeral and the days leading up to it???Remember the flowers??? Do you remember the recent death of HRH the Queen Mother? Do you rember all the Royal Weddings, even the most recent between Prince Charles and Camillia? Even when no Royal function is on, there are things like "The Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace", the many events surrounding Royal tradition...even visitations to the Bloody Tower and seeing the Crown Jewels. Yearly we are talking Millions...with or without a major Royal Function taking place...thier mere presense generates cash like no other individual action in the UK. Although the upcoming Olympics might generate more cash for a bit, it will also generate more money still because with or without the games...the Royal Family will still be there.

God Save the Queen!!!

They probably generate lots of money but we should make them work harder. Little Lizzie should have garden parties every day. I am sure we could generate a six figure sum each day. Charles should do a lot more advertising for British Tourism. William and Harry could open a chain of pubs called William and Harry. Philip should do lunches and dinners where he would insult his guests.
We could get lots more out of them. Buckingham Palace could be made into a country club, I am told you could have a small golf course in the grounds. Edward could take pictures. Anne could do pony rides. The ideas are endless.

Not a lot; very few tourists get to see a member of the royal family.
What they do see are ceremonies and buildings which may have some royal connection. But they are evident in countries which no longer have royalty such as Egypt and France.

they say the income is around 70 percent of all money made from tourism, either to see the guards , the castle of the Queen herself, they say most people want to do or see this most of all..
so they bring in around 70 percent of all monies from tourism...
which as you well know is in the multi millions of dollars.
Long Live The Queen !

good luck
