It sounds like incontinence and you need to go see a doctor. If you haven't had any trauma, like having a baby or surgery, then that is probably what it is. In the mean time do Kegel Exercises. That is where you contract and release the pelvic floor. The way to know if you are doing it right, the next time you go pee, stop the flow mid stream and then let it go again. That is what it will feel like when you do them correctly. Do that for a count of 10 and then let go for 10 a few times a day. You will want to work up to longer times during the day. If that is what it is, just a weak muscle, that will help it.

Do kegals. That is when you tighten your vaginal muscles - as if you were trying to hold your urine in. It works. Many women have the same problem you do after having a baby. Docs recommend kegels!

you can do this while sitting or driving. Hold in for 5 seconds and release.

Incontinence is a well-known problem in women, especially older women and those who have undergone childbirth.

Evanston Northwestern physician Roger Goldberg has recently published a book, "Ever Since I Had My Baby," which talks about women's incontinence, the reasons for it and the latest treatments.

"Over the past decade, there has been a lot of recognition of women's incontinence as a quality of life issue," said Goldberg, who is a urogynecologist. "It can be a minor nuisance or a major impediment to a woman living a full, active life. It is completely treatable."

Most people associate problems controlling their bladders with the very old, Goldberg said, but up to 65 percent of women experience bladder control problems during pregnancy or after childbirth. If they are younger, they don't talk about it. They isolate themselves and feel ashamed.

"Ever Since I Had My Baby" explains the primary reasons for incontinence and offers techniques for preventing problems before they happen, particularly during childbirth. In simple-to-understand language, it offers suggestions on dealing with incontinence problems, such as new medications or collagen injections, which are approved by the FDA for urinary incontinence, and in women are administered in the neck of the bladder.

Some alternative treatments include physical therapy or simple behavioral changes, including dietary ones. The book also includes a chapter on a forbidden topic ‹ bowel incontinence ‹ which also can be common in women.

For incontinence issues, there are minimally invasive procedures that can be done in an office or on an outpatient basis that will restore a patient's quality of life, said Goldberg. For the past few years he has specialized in female incontinence, a field in which much of the work is new. "We are in the cutting edge for recognizing the issue and providing treatment," he said.

He decided to write a book because there wasn't a resource available for women that discussed incontinence issues. "This is the first book devoted to understanding what happens before and after childbirth," he said. "It is a comprehensive resource that covers the broad spectrum of prevention and treatment for female incontinence."

As a physician, Goldberg wants the book to give women a place to start talking about their problems, as well as to educate them. He also wants them to know there are options available.

"I want women to feel their problems are validated," he said. "I hope this provides them with the opportunity to share their problem with their physician and seek help."

"Ever Since I Had My Baby" (Three Rivers Press, $16) is available at local book stores.

I do that to ,I've also had children sometime that's a factor, but then it could be that like in my case our whole family does it if we are really laughing hard, were a pantie shield or do as I do, just keep some toilet paper in your panties like a small pad, it has saved me many times. But if its really severe see your doctor

Have you tried Kegel exercises? That can help, but you really should see a gynocologist to make sure there are no serious problems. Also, there are prescription medications that help with this problem.
