It is basically orange, and is the size of a ladybug. It has black markings including a V-shaped black mark

It is not rounded at the tail but looks likethe back end was cut off straight across.

If you live east of the Rocky Mountains and If the beetles don't seem to be chewing the plants then they might be Soldier Beetles, also called leatherwings Chauliognathus pennsylvanicus. IF all that is true, then they eat bad bugs that are around, like grasshopper eggs and the lav ea of cucumber beetles.
Also there is the Asian Lady beetle,Harmonia axyridis.
They can be a pain but not a pest, they also eat Aphids and other bad bugs. You can probably google the Latin names I gave you and see if you find a match,

I can't tell you what it is but I can tell you how to get rid of it.

I had them too & I dusted the plants with Sevin dust. That was the end of the bugs.
