I would say to be mature you would need to be precocious and have a sense of logic and evaluation. none of these in my opinion can be taut and are dormant from birth until at a certain time when someone begins to have adequate comprehension of what is "going on", I guess is the only way to describe it. but that's just the opinion of a 13 year old boy in south Carolina with a big vocabulary who mainly uses this site to talk about comic books and to piss off Christians "discretely"................ and miss irish thats called ethics and moral

I think mature is when someone can stand up to harrassment/ignorance/etc without loosing their cool and stooping to other people's levels. For instance when someone insults you and you can smile and walk away and not insult them back, I think that is being mature.

I have noticed the best way to win an argument is to smile and present the facts without giving in to emotional responses and outbursts. It seems to unnerve the person who is trying to argue with you.

I define it as knowing the difference between right and wrong and choosing to do what is right.

My son....

....I looked it up in the dictionary and saw a picture of this shaggy dog...but then I thought it could be a long haired killer ferret who had achieved maturity....but, yep, it was my missing son alright...then I found him at the Place for Animals Who Can't Remember. He was distressed. Maybe he'll stay home this time but thanks for letting me know he temporarily escaped maturity.
