How is it one careless match can start a
forest fire, but it takes a whole box to
start a campfire?

This is SO true ! We have given up on using a match to start a campfire and got some of those little wafer looking "starter" logs to throw under the wood. Works great. Never need more than one match that way!

It depends on what the weather is like. Maybe you just don't go camping when the conditions are good for starting a fire.

Just what you said...carelessness starts fires. Not thinking ahead of potential dangers. Just like people when they throw their cigarettes out the car window; that's just as bad.

I guess the only answer it to find a forest to camp in that's already on fire! Just get a really, really long stick to roast your hotdogs and marshmallows...LOL

You probably just suck at starting fires.
Use a lighter you scab.
