how do i stop the advertises that pop out on the window while you are working?..?

Sound like you may have some type of spywares, try download a copy of spybot to remove things that could cause pop ups.

You do need to update it first so it has teh latest list of nastys before your scan.

If your using Internet Explorer Ver. 5.5 to 6 to enable pop up blocker or change settings.. follow these simple steps

1. open IE
2. click on Tools
3. click on Internet Options
4.) select Privacy tab
5.) provide a Check mark on pop -ups = if still having problems, do no.6

6. click on setting beside pop-ups and down below select Filter Level ( from here you can select medium or high)

Go to yahoo and download their tool bar. It comes with a pretty good pop up blocker.
