Yes it has happened, i have allowed a few and denied a few...after adding and talking have deleted a few...lol
As long as your IM is not under your name, but an alias, cool if you are interested...if gets wierd or you are not comfortable, delete them, if they IM you after that, mark as spam in the IM they sent you and your computer will not allow any more IM'd from that person to come through. Be careful...lots of crazies out here in the computer world who can run a good story...you can be and say anyone or anything you want to on here...keep that in mind.

Yes it's happened to me before. If I knew them and wanted to add them, I clicked on "accept". But if I had no idea in the world who they were, I clicked "decline". There is no reason to let someone IM you that you don't even know!

I hate it when I have to sit there, talking to someone for a couple hours, with NO IDEA who they are.... It got to the point that I was wondering if they had some kind of 42ITUS fan club out there. I had to remove my IM link.
