I live in western NC come here, its the best!! i even go to some places here when my in-laws come in we have the nantahala lake 2 of them 15 mins. apart cabin rentals right on the lake if you want to be just 15 min from the lake there is 4 2story cabins w/hot tubs on the porch and the creak just below and that is in Andrews nc 28901..... In Tenn. you can check around in Gatlinburg, not sure of any exact resorts but I know there are cabins somewhere around there. As for North Carolina check around Cherokee and Asheville, very beautiful scenery in my opinion. Beautiful view of the mountains and stuff. I believe in Asheville there is some kind of resort around pisgah mountain, and some wonderful places to go camping.
