The tab is in the down position but I feel the room is not cool enough when the ceiling fan is running. Thanks

Make sure the fan is blowing the right way. There should be a switch on the side to change the direction. The fan will not cool a hot room; it will only move the air around and if it's humid inside, it won't do a whole lot of good.

No offense but I offer this absolute truth.

Fans are meant to cool People, not ROOMS. If the balance of the room, or entire home is warmer than your comfort level demands,,, the fan can't accomplish more than it was designed to do,,,,Cool You.

If you were the one who installed the fan, you may have installed the fan blades backwards. That is the only thing that comes to mind or it may be a defect from the company. Good luck.
