Is there anyone here who has liked Taylor Hicks from the moment he auditioned for American Idol, and rooted/voted for him the whole time he was there, and still likes him now? Anyone have his cd yet? I DO!

I love Taylor! I have not purchased his CD. I heard it only had two songs on it. I am gonna wait until a full CD comes out. I did want him to win and loved to watch him from the moment he auditioned. To me he just seems like a real down to earth person. I would love to get to meet him someday. I think he would be very interesting.

I loved Taylor from the audition in Las Vegas. I have his Do I make You Proud CD along with Under The Radar and In Your Time. He is humble and gracious and is a talented musician and artist. Some of you simply can't come to terms with reality. A lot of artists were not accepted when they started out, but are now legends. He deserves everthing good that will come about from his experience on AI. By the way, I also liked Chris and Elliott. But Taylor was always my favorite.

Taylor Hicks actually performed before idol and many times his audience consisted of mostly Family from Alabama when he would come to Buckhead clubs in Atlanta, Georgia to perform. Although the audiences were much smaller than the one he was exposed to with Idol his talent was still as good and natural. That's one of the things people like about Taylor, the fact that he is natural and just himself and not trying to be everything to everyone. You love seeing someone that is just an average person do good and I think he has the potential to become one of the most known and popular Idols in the aftermath of the show but he's the same voice and person as was performing in the Atlanta clubs long before he ever tried out with his Idol audition. Before Idol you might also remember a band called Alabama. Before they hit it big they used to play small clubs with small audiences in Chattanooga, Tennesseee, not far from Fort Payne, Alabama where they called home, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina so when you see a no name person perform in a little out of the way club you just never know who that person might be in the future.

My household rooted for Taylor from the beginning. My mom liked Paris too as far as her singing goes, but her talking voice drove us all nuts. Anyway, Taylor was our choice from the beginning and we voted for him every week. Mom and I would take turns trying to get through on the phone lines! I loved the harmonica when he found out he made it through! I loved to watch his biggest fan, Johnnie, his grandmother, rooting him on every week on the 9pm news on fox 10. She's one proud granny and we love her too! No I don't have the Cd yet.

I like Taylor Hicks. He can sing, he's charismatic, he's fun, and he seems genuine. My original pick was Chris Daughtry.

Chris should have won it. I agree Taylor sounds like a lounge singer.

to be honest i at first thought he was interesting, didn't catch me though. i think i started really rooting for him when he sang jailhouse rock on the results show and i seriously laughed all the way through it - positively. i know it was late but ever since then i really agree on him being an a.i.

I found him to be genuine, even though he look like a dork, and he CAN sing, and sings well, I were surprised he beat Cath but thats just show biz.
