You would call the courthouse and give the clerk your
1 name
2 social security number
3 ticket referral number
4 Driver's license number
5 birthday date
When you call you will be asked to select how you want your ticket processed the easiest way is to use your driver's license number
They have the ticket information in the computer and some courthouse have automated systems so you can pay over the telephone or by Internet

I don't know about a lot of states, but rest assured that if you didn't appear in court, or pay a fine in lieu of court, there would be a bench warrant for your arrest. And if such a warrant existed, DPS would have it on record. Since DPS doesn't have anything about it, it's likely that the ticket has fallen through the cracks and is long gone. It's my Opinion that this is one of those cases where you've done what you can and you can rest easy.

Contact the police station and tell them what happened. The officer who wrote the ticket has a duplicate. They might even let you pay it at the station.
Word to the wise, Always level with the cops. They respect honesty and will treat you with respect.
P.S. The same thing happened to me, I went through a stop sign and was pulled over. I didn't come up with any excuse, though I could have because the sign was covered over with branches. I my case ,he let me go but he could have given me a ticket if he felt like it. I just got lucky. I'm glad you're telling the truth also. The police appreciate it. Good luck!!

Try calling the court house early this week and explain to them exactly what you have said here. I would think they keep some sort of record of the cameras and would know who you are by tag number of your car. Give them that, and I'd be willing to bet everything will turn out ok. I'll bet not too many people are TRYING to pay fines! LOL Good for you for staying honest!!

If you live in the city and the camera caught you in the city, you can usually contact your local municipal court and they should have your ticket on file by your name or the name of the registered vehicle owner. If it's in the county then usually that info is maitained at a justice of the peace office. Hope this helps and good luck

Call the ticketing office of the Police Dept. and tell them your car license and name and address and have them check on it for you. Ask for and extension of time if it is due now so you will have time to pay it. They are very helpful, don't panic.

dont pay it, when they issue a bench warrant for your arrest you ll be taken straight to the proper authority's ( lol) seriously, contact your department of mot er vehicles in person, few will help over the phone. you should be able to resolve the issue there. Every State is diff rent, but that's what i would try first.

caller the police department where you got the ticket on there non emergency line and tell them your problem. if it is a small department then it is probably handeled by the local city hall but if it is a major city like houston they can transfer you to the division that you need to fix your problem....whatever you do don't call 911 for this we hate to get calls for stupid things.
