What can I do to make it go away quickly? Are there any types of socks that are good for running and won't give me blisters?

don't be wearing thick cotton athletic socks if that is what you have! They absorb sweat, then they start to chafe...and pretty soon you are either blistered or rubbed raw.

Go to your running store and buy thin socks (short on the ankle, usually some design or something on em, and about $6 or $7 a pair) and wear those.

Check out this site, it shows the type of sock I am talking about...these are a little more expensive than I like, but they are exactly the size and material:

Re the blister...take it easy till it goes down. Sometimes if they are small i pop them and wrap them...but bigger ones just need time...

First of all you should quit wearing you running shoes until the blister is healed, then get a good pair of comfortable running socks (Thorlos are the best. They make sport specific socks. A little expensive but definitely worth the money) and make sure that your shoes are fitting properly. As for the blister best to soak it in warm water and Epsom salt until gone. Do Not pop it.

Whatever you do, don't pop it, let it heal by itself. The reason why you have a blister is that your foot is rubbing inside the shoe. So you either have to get a better fit, or lace them tighter. There is also a thing called "moleskin" which you can buy and cut to fit the size of your blister. It has adheisive on one side to stick to your foot. Putting this on will eliminate the rubbing and will eliminate the blisters.....good luck with this.

I think you need to walk bare foot at home so it can heal naturally and I would go to the local mall and buy a better running shoe

Cover it with a large piece of fabric plaster cut from a roll.
"Thousand Mile" socks are good.

Soak it in cold water. Like a foot bath. It numbs it. Then dont touch it untill it goes away.
