i have my screen saver set to start in 3 min..---way too soon !!!! what is a safe length of time,, without damaging the monitor???? please & thankyou......

I'm assuming you're asking on how many how soon should a screensaver come on to be safe.
If you are using an LCD monitor it shouldn't matter much. A CRT monitor, 2-3 minutes is good.

OK. It depends if you are playing an online game - I mean...you don't need the SCR to kick in during that scenario!
Otherwise - set the SCR to action after about 20 - 60 minutes and it will protect the monitor from having an image of the 'constant screen' being burned to your screen....

I have always had mine at 15min for the crt type screens. with the flat screens being around I think I'd go to a 10min screen saver and then have the monitor hibernate at the 15min point.

10 mins because it is long enough if your doing something like thinking about something but short enough to not hurt ur monitor.

I have mine set on ten
Thats not long enough to burn the monitor

safe time is default 14 mins. good enough.

dude i leave mine on all night and been doing it for the last 4 years so i dont think it matters........
