Every single person on this earth is racist in one way or another! Just accept is as an inevitability!

I think everyone is racist in some ways. In my opinion there are two forms of racism. There is hate racism, where people hate people that are different than they are. The KKK would be a good example. And there is ignorant racism. Most people are guilty of this. They don't necessariy dislike people of other races, they just don't have a lot of experience with them and don't understand the culture. Sometimes things get said that offened, but it doesn't mean that there is "hate" involved. The problem is, most people don't try to distinguish between the two.

Everyone has prejudices, preconceived ideas about other people whether the opinions are good or bad. I don't think you are a racist unless you participate in an act of racism. Say like neo nazis are racists because they commit violence against those they hate, they try to convert others, etc. The average person on here may make the occasional slur against blacks, muslims, or whatever. They aren't a racist because of it.

Racism is making a decision about the worth, significance or value of a person based on their race; some would add acting on that decision.

Bigotry includes racism; it would substitute other demographics than race (perhaps gender; education; religious convictions or lack thereof; you get the picture), but is otherwise the same.

We've all got some of that; I'm amazed at how people assume all fat people are slobs, or totally unconcerned about themselves; that tall people are, in some sense, better people than short ones (off the basketball court, I mean); that someone with a fancy string of degrees is somehow a better person than someone who was only able to finish highschool (I know a lot of very intelligent folks who had to stop after highschool for financial reasons, for instance, and who are amazingly well self-educated). There's more, of course, but all you have to do is look and listen for a while--including to yourself, if you're honest--and you'll hear it.

The trick is, of course, to catch yourself at it, and learn to overcome it. Easier said than done in this culture. Seems to me that the more we focus on political correctness, the more bigoted (and the more mindlessly bigoted) we become... Sigh...

Being proud of your own race is never racist. Hating other races is always racist. When we run into unpleasant people who happen to be of a different race, it is easy to call the unpleasant person by a racist epitaph, because we are angry. Most of us, including me, have done so from time to time. I think a lot of what is called "racism" is just rudeness and thoughtlessness. Hardcore racists are of a different breed. Their entire lives are devoted to hating other races.

I think having grown up as a military brat and living with so many different mixed families (i.e., Korean mom, black American dad or German mom and white American dad or Filipino dad and Mexican-American mom, etc) that I always thought mixed marriages were normal. In fact, I also thought when people spoke of mixed marriages that they meant Army man married to Navy woman, etc. So, I grew up with this as the norm in small military communities my entire life. I can honestly say that I don't have any "racist" views at all.
I do have my own prejudices...but they go beyond boundaries of color or race. I hate STUPID people!

I'm not racist, but at times I feel like it, cause there are some ignorant people that make it hard to not be racist, but I take a deep breath and remember that God created us all equal.

I don't in any way consider myself to be Racist, nor would my friends/colleagues....

However, I think we all can overtly make comments or suggestions that might be interpreted as being racist!... Ooooppps!

Hey, we all live on the same lump of rock, so why can't we get on with each other??

I'm only racist in terms I dislike those who follow the stereotypes. For example I dislike black people who do the whole I must act 'gansta', constantly grab my balls, and try to keep my pants sagging while holding them up I also dislike the white people who do that too, it isn't the skin that bothers me just the actions.

Everyone is racist in a way. Even if they deny it, they still see colors (for those who don't understand what this means, I'm not talking about just seeing different colors, it's deeper than that).
