Good quality Wheat - a mugful per day for each fully grown bird.
Layers pellets ad lib - to help egg production and shell strength.
Grit - if they do not have a large natural area where they can get it themselves.
Greens - they adore peas!
Be careful with maize, this is a 'heating' food and can harm them if given too often.
Water - they MUST, at the very least, be able to get their head in a bucket to clean their eyes. But give them a pond, they love it. And don't forget that males don't quack - it isn't a sore throat!

Don't worry, ducks don't die if they don't have a bath to swim in. If you give them one the water will be filthy by the end of the day, use it to water the garden.
If you google "feed + duck" you'll find loads of web pages with advice.
Wild ducks mainly eat small snails and crustaceans in the water weed, they also end up eating a lot of the weed but digest it more slowly. Duck pellets are a balanced diet and better if you're not sure what you are doing, but you can add some earthworms, baby snails as long as you don't use snail poison, woodlice and so on. They can also have chopped greens.
Give them a bowl of oyster grit, poultry need grit in their gizzards to grind up food and oyster grit is full of calcium as well.
Ducks don't make great pets, they are very messy and will lay green droppings all over hte place. Pick them up on a dustpan and put them on your flower beds.
If you get them a pond then its a good idea to add a water filter to try to keep on top of the dirt, otherwise the water will smell.

i use to have pet ducks they love ready brek and wheatabix corn and you can let then out near fresh grass. but remember they need special duck pellets if they are young to give them a good start in life enjoy them they are great pets. always make sure they have water, and a baby bath makes an ideal pool for them to splash in

They like any type of grain. They are kinda like scavengers. Whatever you feed them, you need to have fresh water around. They love to jump in a tub with food & fresh water, that's how they eat in the wild. They are extremely messy. I had about 20 growing up. They are fun, but due to the mess I wouldn't do it again.
