I think the fried chicken has something to do with the time of the slaves they where known to like it a lot and eat it quite often, most people whites as well ate fried chicken down south. Collard greens, I have no idea what they are and I didn't know grape kool-aid was associated with blacks.

They are inexpensive food and therefore bought by poor people, and many blacks are poor.
I had not heard about the grape koolaid though. Fried chicken is not very healthy but collard greens are.

First i do no longer think of all White human beings think of of Black human beings words of stereotypes. And those that do i myself do no longer care what they think of. i can't administration a persons' innovations. because it concerning me and those closest to i'm in contact approximately what somebody (all people) might do. i do no longer know in case you're White or no longer yet i would be certain how White human beings can become annoyed for constantly having to respond to for the sins of their forefathers. i'm no longer likely to pass into the psychology at the back of Black huge wide awake. even with the incontrovertible fact which will say our fact is nearly a domino effect as a manner to talk. The falling a one domino motives falling yet another beforehand of it etc. What this implies is activities from the previous influence the present. What we do now impacts the destiny. for this reason activities are relative and related. for my area Black human beings go through by employing their very own hand maximum so than the hand of alternative in maximum circumstances. even with the incontrovertible fact that together there's a lingering spirit that haunts us by way of fact we are actually not at peace as a human beings. some thing grew to become into taken from us and it has rendered us incomplete. i do no longer anticipate for human beings to understand this. in very fact maximum Black human beings don't are conscious of it. yet despite we are dealing with won't purely purely pass away by way of fact others are tire of seeing Black human beings interior the condition we are in. question: How long does it take to heal? answer: as long because it takes..

culture, my friend...
southern blacks are a far different group from northern blacks...same goes for whites, asians...
it's not so much race...(although there does exist a microcosm of preference and experience among the various races)... as the culture in which one is raised...
I enjoy all of the above mentioned foods...having been raised in the south...but I have noticed a tendency towards fruit flavored candies..etc..among blacks..again, in the south.
I've lived damn near everywhere in these United States and I can tell you...there is a wide variance among everyone....
"African Americans" originally came to this country via the south...Asian Americans via the West Coast ...etc...it's all about geography and culture...
Racism is stupid...Stereotypes, however...are typically steeped in some degree of fact...but the larger view is that none of it matters...as at the end of the day...it always comes down to the individual...

I like fried chicken and watermelon (who doesn't, really?), but I don't like kool-aid and collard greens. I am black (see avatar).
Although people associate these foods with black people, it's a mostly southern thing.
Are you southern, or trying to be "cute"?

Just sterotypes. I love going to soul food places, but I have to admit, the black people look at me when I walk in that I MUST be lost. I also make the best enchiladas, tempura, and blintzes of anyone in the neighborhood! Go figure!

Inexpensive, filling foods have been the rule in poverty stricken areas forever. Those foods are cheap and good.
Poverty tends to affect blacks more than other races, so there ya go.
