How come just because i'm (or you're) not 14 anymore, you have to act like you're half dead?

Some of us (me included) never want to grow up. So be happy people think that away.

When I as a silly question or give a sarcastic answer people think I'm 12. But when I ask a meaningful question or give a nerdy answer I get asked if I was born before the 1960's.
It got annoying so I put a notice on my profile telling everyone that I'm 19.

I didn't assume you were a child. Except maybe because of the clothes on your avatar. Maybe you like Halloween? Who cares what people think of them? People don't like me, but it doesn't bother me. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me! I run around my neighborhood every day and sing that. All the dogs chase me but I carry moth balls to feed them as treats and then they go away.......

Because they're old and crotchety. They can't imagine someone their age making it into adulthood without becoming bitter. ~smiles
