One big plus for Ireland is that Republic of Ireland refused to join George W. Bush's "Coalition Of The Willing" while England dove in head first. Ireland generally has cleaner air than England and is less crowded. If I had a choice of where to live, I'd choose Ireland

I've never been to Ireland, but apparently it's pretty, but so are parts of England so I like them both equally at the moment :)

After living in England any where is better than living there!
Ireland has her problems for sure, but generally the pace of life is slower and better.

As far as the Irish accent itself is concerned, I'd say that I like it. As per the recent report, Ireland is better place to live than UK (bearing in mind numbers of factors, such as medical, education, transport, taxation, etc.).

However, having said that, for a true Brit like myself with intense patriotism within, "East or West, Britain is the Best".
