20 cards in all, portugual got 9 yellows and 2 reds and netherland got 7 yellows 2 reds
i am correct i saw the whole thing and counted the cards and even saw at the end of the match at the match facts

We're up to 16 yellows and 4 reds (9 and 2 on Portugal, 7 and 2 on Netherlands).

4 red cards!!! Amazing. Looks like the ref is trying for some sort of red card record...not to mention the 8 yellows. And I thought the Italy v USA match was crazy. Makes for interesting entertainment though...and credit to Portugal for holding out while being one man down for so long (and without Cristiano as well).

The penalties and red cards have been ridiculous. The officials are changing the outcome of the tournament.
I think most fans believe they should use a little restraint.

yup , its 9 vs 9 now , the refs needs to calm down on the cards. all these players r now going to be abvle to play next game

Whatever the # it = too many! Are those refs kidding me?!? Ithink POR had 2red/6yellow and NED had 2red/4yellow.
