Hi, I live in Massachusetts! 12 years ago my daughter and hubby returned from their Florida honeymoon and brought me a sapling no bigger than a pencil.
I now have a three foot by three foot pot with a 4 foot high orange tree in it!
Every winter it sits in the sliding glass door for the Winter Sun. In the spring I drag it onto the deck and fertilize it. In the fall I play "BONSAI" I take it out of the pot, root prune it give it some new potting soil, top prune it WAY back and bring it in for the winter!
My family is very patient with me!

nicely, Oranges won't be able to proceed to exist timber completely for lengthy to boot... per chance it really is because the orange juice don't have the peel to "look after" it like a commonplace orange does. that's only a guess. *edit: Oranges on timber are alive because it really is on a tree, it really is organic source. at the same time as as orange juice, comparable to a rose that has been decrease, has died as quickly because it really is been off the position it become initially become... that's yet another guess. i do not understand... a lot wondering o.o

plant it in a large container it will only grow as large as the roots allow and in a container the roots can only spread so far.. if you have a place where you have the room it would be a nice addition and who knows you may get fruit
