Yes, why it is very important to keep bacitracin, neosporin or the like on it until it totally heals....guard against infections and also great for the itch to keep it moist

For my smaller tattoos they were maybe like a 4. But for the outline of my half sleeve I'd have to say the itching was about a 10. It didn't start itching until maybe 2 or 3 days after I got it when it was starting to peel and flake off. My god it was unbearable. Not pain, just unbearable ITCHYNESS! And I couldn't touch it! What helped me though was rubbing fragrant-free non-greasy moisturizer lotion on it (with clean hands) when it would get insanely itchy. It would relieve it for a while. The itch lasted me for maybe 3 days and than it went away. It was definitely a hard time, but very worth it :) I still have 2 more sessions for my half sleeve (shading and coloring) and I'd have to say I'm looking less forward to the itching than the actual pain. I'd take the tattooing pain any day. Don't let that discourage you though, remember it's only temporary :)

Yes it does itch, you need to rub it with some kind of vaseline; hair oil kinda thing, I don't remember the exact thing right now. But I saw this guy doing it once and he said it was because it itches so he has to rub it with that thing rather than scratch and possible mess itup or cause an infection.

DO NOT USE NEOSPORIN! I used it on my tattoo and it pulled the colour out in places and I had to get the tat redone! Then, I got the tattoo healing cream from the shop where Igot the tattoo. That made it not itch and it healed really fast and was beautiful; sets the colours very nicely. You should get some.

Yeah, they itch. DO NOT scratch, DO NOT use vaseline, DO NOT cover it up. Apply a thin layer of A&D or Bacitracin Ointment every 4 hours or so and the itching should be over in a couple of days.

Yes, it itches!! You just poked a bunch of holes in your skin and they are all healing and trying to reject the ink under the skin as well. Mine just about drove me nuts~the tattoo artist told me to keep it well covered with an antiseptic cream for at least two weeks and under no circumstances to scratch it. After it healed, I used Lubriderm to keep it moist, no perfumes or anything in it to irritate the skin. Happy to say, all of mine have healed well and look great!!! (The hair that was growing back in is another story!)

All of mine have itched while they were healing. It usually lasts a couple of days for me. I just used to slap the spot where it itched.

Sometimes! it really depends on the tattoo! But mostly yes so if it does itch don't touch it at all it's just healing!!!

Yes.. That tells you that the skin is healing. When it becomes itchy simply put vitamin E oil or cream on it. it will moisten the skin while promoting healthy healing.

Depends on your healing rate... Remember what you Tattoo artist toll you to do.
AND IF YOU DON"T ........ CALL HIM. Just remember to keep it moist... And wash it with warm water twice a day with Anti-bacterial soap. Once in the morn and once in the eve.No wash cloth. Just your hand and soap and warm water.
DO NOT COVER IT WITH VASELINE!!!!! OR GAZE OR A BANDAGE!!!!! It needs to breath.

yes but you need to keep it moist and a good tecnique for the itchews are slapping it rather than scratching it. the itch is a phase that goes away . it's the same phase that any wound goes through. and you dont scratch your wounds either for scarring reasons.
