Hi. Running Win XP on Dell desktop. Screensaver refuses to initialize. Any ideas how to correct this? Thanks!!

Reformatted my hard drive due to Malware infection. Everything works fine but the screensaver (any one I try) just does not initialize. Any ideas? Running Win XP on a Dell 5100 desktop.

check screen properties and be sure you have selected a screen saver
that it is activated
check activation timing of screen saver

you made a mistake when you bought a dell, try a spyware removal tool like Spybot Search and Destroy, you can find it at download.com

check the initialisation time that is probably faulty otherwise just repair the OS
