Real life is always stranger than fiction. Jim Morrison was too huge a personality to try to capture in a 2 hour film.

It was ok. It was a little long, but I enjoyed it overall. I feel like it gave you a taste of the reality behind the legend. Unfortunately, movies like that generally make you like the character a little less. You realize how they have flaws, and in Morrison's case, very big ones.

I thought the whole thing about how he saw the Native American's on the side of the road was interesting. That motif was very compelling, but I wondered about how true it was.

In any case, the soundtrack was enjoyable. : )

I never got to see the very end, unfortunately.

I think it was a good flick and did capture some of Jim´s mannerisms and characteristics. I think that Kilmer did an excellent job, and I don´t really think he´s a very good actor, but did Jim justice.

Good movie but not completely factual and only shows a very little about his life. Val Kilmer was excellent in it I have to admit.

I have. And it's hard to resume the band's life in 2 hours, they were HUGE!!
And the scenes when they were taking acid could have been done with a different perspective so you can kind of feel it too.

Val Kilmer was absolutely BRILLIANT in that movie....he became Jim Morrison...like he was channeling his spirit...eerily accurate. Flaws were minimal....the acting was outstanding!!! It was like I was watching Jim all over again.....*spooky*

Saw it, not too impressed. But not to impressed with Morrison either. Read a book about him once. He was a bit of a sick puppy.
